Let’s face it, we all struggle to come up with new gifts for Dad every year.
This year, instead of getting him a tie try getting something he will actually use day in and day out.
I know I personally struggle. I feel like everything that’s marketed towards Fathers’ Day is stuff my Dads wouldn’t use. Yes, you read that right, I am from a blended family, so I get to do double the Fathers’ Day shopping. Neither of my dads dress up for work, so the dependable tie is not going to cut it in my household!
Can we get over the idea that scented candles are just for Moms? This candle smells like Whiskey Barrels and Cuban Cigars, and would pair perfectly with a nice bottle of Single Malt. Or this one, which smells like Moroccan Amber and would work fabulously with a cologne picked out just for your Dad. I’m sure he’d love to burn one of these candles to wind down after a long day of telling dad jokes and complaining about the thermostat.
Does your dad have a weird sense of humor? What is it with Dads? They think the weirdest things are funny.. either way, here’s some ideas for the funny dads in your life. Is he stressed? Maybe he needs a set of Stressticles, or a Boobie Squishy to help get him through the day.. Plus how hilarious would it be to have these on his desk just within range for those Zoom calls. Is Dad a beer drinker? Maybe he needs this bell, but here’s the catch: at least for one day, every time he rings the bell you have to get him a beer.. or train the dog to do it.
Let’s not forget the 420 friendly fathers. We love Stoner Dads here, and we carry this great mug that has that awesome Rasta colouring. It doesn’t need to say Dad on it to be an awesome Fathers day gift though, there are some great ashtrays that would fit your dads smoking personality. Or for the old school stoner Dads.. how about some Cheech and Chong Glass wear?! We love it, it’s great glass plus who doesn’t love Cheech and Chong? I know a couple packs of ZigZag papers always make a welcome addition to any gift basket I make for my Father!
I know we said Ties are so passe, but socks are always a great gift. There are a couple hilarious options here. Smokey socks are great for those stoner Dads.. or if your dad has a colourful vocabulary.. how about the “Fuck you, You Fuckin’ Fuck” socks? There are also some great Raw and GEAR Premium shirts that would make an awesome addition to any Dads wardrobe.
